• I have enjoyed reading your website.  I have a question for you....
   
  My wife's Grandmother has asked if we would like her 1988 300E Mercedes.  It has only 52,000 miles on it and it is a Diesel.  The car has all of the service records etc...
  
  I wanted to get a professional opinion on the car before I accept it.  Is this model year a good car?  Would you recommend it.  Our other option is to sell the car and buy a newer model....

• If the car truly has 52k on it and it has been serviced, buy it. The 300D make good cars with a good service background. I am not sure the newer ones are any better. Buy it  JON
