Hi, i have a 78 300d and i am currently having problems with the vacuum pump.  the engine will not shut down properly, the brake booster is not working, the locks dont work and the climate control wont either.  I have tested the vacuum output at the t-fitting near the brake booster it never moves past 5 no matter what RPM...Would you say that the pump is broken? would you suggest replacing or rebuilding? thanks

• Don't bother with the rebuild. Buy new pump and install it. I know they are alot of money ( $214.00 ) but the whole car needs that pump. Rebuilding never works, of if it does, not for long. JON
