  • Hi Jon,
    I have a 1981 300d I was wondering if it is possible to have a
    turbocharger put in this car like from a 300sd. If so what is involved
    in putting it in.

  • Thanks for the email. Your engine was not designed for a turbo. The main bearings and rods will not handle the extra load. I imagine that it is possible, but your car will not run long after the job is completed. By a turbo diesel sedan instead. JON
