Hi Pete. I gave been through all my notes and have thought about your drain. Your friend may be right that the drain is in the climate control, but it is not the amplifier. In almost all cases it turns out to be the servo control unit. The servo is located on your car between the air cleaner and the RF headlight assembly. This unit controls the vacuum and the electrical portion of the climate control. The servo should go into "PARK" mode when the car is shut off. There are two electrical plugs on the top of the unit which can be unplugged easily. You may want to run with out it unplugged in for a while to see if your problem returns but I doubt it. I can get you a good price on a new unit, however VERY expensive. Most used one are no good. Let me know if this fixes the problem. THANKS JON
